presented as obey
as the guilt one should have
for being one’s own
the forgiveness one should lay
for those claiming otherwise
the adherence to the rule
of those who say they are the rule
hierarchy of never one’s own
that valuation of family
is full counterfeit
speak then of family
when you can mouth those words
forcing nothing
by the spear-tip
of your tongue
