Unhappening

in the bedroom, a torn screen invites sounds
soft wings, fleeting things drawn to blue light
electrical exit crux for that morning drift
swept away in burned accumulation
that during darker times one might sleep
to the sound of everything unhappening
downstairs, voting loudly away
two unkempt madmen spit at television
