Fear And Logic In Acquaintance

being asked what I’d do if unafraid
seems an invitation, a qualification of
these things I’d do if they wouldn’t
y’know, just flat kill me
or, were I unafraid from that precious age
where logic forbade such simple things
as running flat out into the propeller blades
I’d have died
just plain died
and quickly
