tonight, our bravest footballer
did one of those handspring throw-ins
perfect form until their shirt came up
first scotty dog popping out
barking at the stands
ducking back in
following baffled silence
curious fluffs erupted in abundance
human skin and clothing abandoned
chasing the ball in full cry
goal rejected after the fact
too many players on the field
