Focus Harder

painkiller was a trigger
nullifying and then exacerbating
body all muddled, internal receptors
interrupted, screaming

we know it’s there’s
we swear, we know it’s there
focus harder

when the medication stopped working
turned out, stopping the block chemistry
muddled even better, internal receptors
reconnected, screaming

we found it right here
we found it to share
focus harder
