kit, you can befriend the meat
but carnivore obligate, remember
sometimes the meat will fear
will run, will strike sweet hunger

before you decry meat for running
judge your capacity for resistance
sometimes civilization is isolation
vat grown sweets in humble retreat

risking not that so-loved thunder
in heart, hind legs, and hindmost
