we are not the only ones
to be living in our holes
dug into our basement walls
avoiding all the salesmen

we are not the only ones
listening to their footfalls
walking through our upper halls
taking what they will

we are not the only ones
waiting, waiting, waiting
for the masters of these salesmen
to reel their liars in
