Economies of Scaling

let us upon our shoulders then
carry every happening
we found and swore was ours to bear
never once complaining

let us well encouraged go
down into the car park
kiss that which we’ve never owned
setting off alarms

let us rest a while here
set into our waypoints
strapping all our luggage down
pretending it adores us
