Back In The Shower

it is important, somehow
that the count of the hats
got lost, though surely
someone accretes those impressions
someone secretes those additions
some superlative passion for hats
kept import, somehow
absorbed new names
knew gods, knew kings
lest unremembering those beings
lest untethering import seemings
let come into being a mixing
for we who decide
not wanting either
got lost, at last count
