dear purple finch
I would like to apologize
for putting your feeder
next to that of the hummingbird
who clearly has issues
I know you’re not a flower
you know you’re not a flower
the hummingbird clearly has issues

Look, I just watched a purple finch get licked on the back of the head while minding its own business. Of course it's a poem.
