there’s a lot to be said
about whatever day of the week
this weird span of something
is pretending to be

my contractual obligations
require I maintain my silence
but do not cover writing
about this madness

thus I would very much
like to present this entire day
with the sort of flowers
that induce dizziness

as this day
or week
or month
has earned it
