if you acknowledge a phone call
walk out immediately
you have made a terrible mistake
imagining familiar places

that’s not the prince calling
nor the formerly known

that’s not a warrant or a prize
just another robot, homeless
alone, crying across timelines
themselves scammed, told

capture enough credits, wire
you can be whole again
