Through Careful Testing

the secret to shifting breeds
was not, in fact, the breed specific food
though I’ll have you know
I did my best
putting all that cat and dog food
carefully to the test
bitten by kittens made zero difference
nor did high and low-brow brand names
the tame and the wild-child fur beasts I’ve found
have no interest in having me around
