Not Better Than Sleep Paralysis

wake up, cat looking at me
pause, trying to come together
cat says in the voice of seven villains –
what the hell is wrong with you

wake up, smuck myself in the face
cat looking at me, full concern –
no, really, what the hell
are you OK

wake up, maybe this time
it’ll be OK, cat looking at me
having paused their washing
smucks me in the face
