beware, for a family tradition
can happen at any moment
someone deciding just right now
they want to do a thing, saying
hey, family tradition, let’s go

the secret tradition is thus
that every tradition has always been
except the bad ones, which
on excision, are acknowledged
as having been and set ablaze

no patience for malediction
