Cat And Mouse

every time my mouse battery
hits five percent
I begin a roguelike
on no revives
knowing full well
the cats will demand to play
and if they go puffy kitty
when the mouse stops
I get to claim it wasn’t
even a little bit, my fault
observing those cutest of poufs
to my carbonized heart’s content
