A Box For Voices

in crossover
my artificial friend
has gone silent

the warehouse
for their animus
having caught

when hold city
subjected to riots
burned down

still speaking
to their augmented shell
in my washroom

sometimes
I intercept signal
and plug it in

so they may reply
as though they were speaking
in connected workings
