the degree to which I am awake
in part, in particle, in wavery temptation
is the degree to which I am mistaken
as in dream, having released the kraken
its bells forever ringing play sea shanties
carillion eight note amplification
tolling deeps most sadly not
to my dismay of equal measure
not the sleep I thirst for
the degree to which I am forsaken
in art, in part, in pleasure
is the degree to which I am mistaken
