When The Bad People Come

when the bad people come
conditioned, so many times of ten
they are us, of us, finger-pointing
knife-sharpening, firearm brandishing
law-enacting, that we might continue
escalating against, against, against
until of us, that minor variance
is tentatively pointed out
a bluster, a wind, a shun
when we run low again
of the bad people
