bring to me the pretty people
which means, dear lad, bring everyone
I’ll watch them doing people things
when I figure how they’ve begun
I’ll be myself a pretty people
doing pretty people things
to sing their pretty peoplement
whatever those pretty people meant
singing to my wonderment
before they’d owt begun
who pretty did their pretty things
‘til pretty all undone
