A Woe Unrepaired

in proper decorum
I was to have comforted
a sad person in their woe
a cat photograph
to their digital doorstep
alas
cat’s only visible feature
poking from beneath covers
is the bit of the cat
one doesn’t comfort with
however well sunlit
