Red To Green Idol

rumor, in ivy threads, welcomes brickwork
tendrils sifting surface textures, modifying
whole fascia unsourced, mortar letting go
where once was building, a bare stud face
swears they always, swears they never
despairing in square iron-nailed verbosity
