in an alternate dimension, my evil self
is exactly the same as I am, right now
both of us told that an aspect of ourselves
is utterly, without recourse, unacceptable
the variation not within, but external
someone’s tastes and preferences being
in ultimatum and threat, deemed pure
both describing, in widening capture
a category of not-like-them untouchable
