rolling a natural twenty Monday
means getting up, moving the cat
eating what might be breakfast
and hoping the rest of the world
is playing the same game
driver’s ed instructor remains unamused
dice everywhere, gathering under brakes
no stopping now, keep going inland
the distance is looking pretty good
