Poem, Chemistry, Failure, No Juggling Occurs
Gunk Toss
September 22, 2024
on the shelf of black enamel
where the sun directs its gaze
the juggling gloves in nitrile
have begun their soft decay
purple balloons of optimism
wrapping rounder sway
we pick them up for doubles
they stick to us as troubles
we shake, the sand goes flying
toxic words decrying how
in pairs and fears and sticky years
we must sighing now
wash everything
