beside the entrance to the presidential suite
the exterior emergency phone, shaped like Little Boy
plays the sound of an atomic explosion
from one of those 1950s news reels
not excluding the announcer’s excited voice
declaring to all who would pick up
that the pizza delivery will be late
neither the pizza
nor the explosion
sync to present
