Folding Cranes

they said, while I was in grade school
to fold a thousand cranes, no reason given
maybe, that I should go into construction
or, given my aptitude scores, cull reindeer
but, I’ve done the math, my aptitude is fine
and boss, that building can only support three
any more cranes and it’s the structure gonna fold
