Ghost Birds
February 20, 2025
we have the ghosts of birds, now
building their nests in the mailbox
big old steel back woods thing
plenty of room for everyone
mail delivery announces mail
screaming in abject bird ghost fear
bird ghost passengers begging lifts
down to farmhouse mailbox
where other ghost birds hang
upside-down observational
swinging chains and packages
keeping spring wind time
