Heat Off
March 3, 2025
in the room with the heat off
because it gets too hot with the heat on
the cat complains about covers
being twelve layers of heavy
but stays tucked by my side
just enough room to meow
without straining too hard
in a nest made for reading
and, under small duress
slightly squished rumble-purrs
