Wilderness Temptation

cougar having a lie-down t’back patio
love and I over coffee saying we really
want to open the door so, so quiet
rub our faces in tummy fur, both of us
setting cups down, sneak, sneak, sneak
to the squeakiest sliding door that ever
squeaked
cougar looking us in our deadpan
while we hold hands saying
uh-oh
