Addressing Fevers

even in mythological healthcare
starving a fever was looked at with concern
antique cryptids rubbing their appendages
muttering over cauldron and blooming glass
patting fevers gently on the head –
it’s not your fault
but we see you, we do –
breaking out the good sandwiches
