Classical Education

if you’re far enough at the edges
where the prior generation ran
you might benefit from classical education
while your teachers watch population

close in, wrap fingers around minds
saying of the previous prior gen
how control was killing teachers
but better still, killing learning

even classical education
burning on a pyre of special citizens
whose pens wrote clear
what classics were
