Longer Bones

tell us long enough
how we’re no longer
human, valued, loved
our ghosts rise

while we, still living
surviving, transform
haunting our environments
under threat, conditioned

give us seasons
where under our skin
the nothing you’ve applied
renders real our invisible

your dried remains
caught prior on CCTV
saying monster, monster
to our evolution
