the ague, the wagging of the dog
does your breathing lay in state
while you continue wandering
do you raise yourself regardless
trading of the vapors formless
to your loves and friends and ends
do you put your teeth in them
we have a stake in your undoing
somehow ruing your uprising
stay down, stay down, stay goddamn down
