we know you have shaven the burma
whose roadside is well tended derma
you weed and you slave
you plant and you rave
but adverts continue to churn-a

while driving your sixty-eight chevy
mowing signage ‘till packed cargo-heavy
the words you collect
stain rust and neglect
in the bed that you’ve made of their levy
