somehow my wakefulness
has activated the cat
which would be fine
if this particular cat were mine
or I were its
though based upon its sits, it fits
twixt shoulder and my kneaded ear
this sharpest little dear
who upon my breathing change
digs deeper, a firmer fitting setting in
causing schedule rearranging
dropping work I won’t be into
