my four-year old self
used to answer the party line
understandably angering
so many people

ringing, ringing

my four-year old self
clearly loved to party
in a way I no longer do
so bloody many people

ringing, ringing

my four-year old self
still tired from learning
other people’s parties
were all about yelling
