my sleep tracker claims I’m living the dream
no motion, emotion remaining unseen
even in writing this blighting of tired
claims sleep’s will a-streaming, seeming a-field
in humble still haven, no messenger raving
come knocking, no shocking, no rook
even my running took cunning by block
slaying pistil and stamen where flowers
by hours, by powers of clock, shook
