some words we have to say wrong
spell incorrectly, deliberately, in memory
of place-time, of temporal spline-strip
angle of intercedence answering phone
with the sort of woof one reverts to denial
still mercury diffing eternity in spaces
lined up near-identical, threading
punched chatter of that one time
