Hot Pants
February 6, 2025

didn’t get the heavy bike
out on the lake this winter
too many reports
people going through

not enough cold days
not enough cold hearts
we’re just waiting
for nineteen nineteen

getting the draft horses out
in their fuzzy tons
cutting blocks for summer
timing it right

so it’s not too thick
or now so it’s not too thin
