It Got Hot

it got hot, thermometer in the sun
lying about it, pushing right round
don’t worry, minus 90 is but a step
cranking hard clockwise from 130
rabbit out back contemplating lettuce
breaking down in two elements
ninja gardener meeting ninja counter
big smart dog unable to corner
two paths through field, vegetation
in great and small disruptions
